Well, it may sound stupid to you. However it has some hidden meaning in it. All this while the world has defined “0 (zero) is a number ”, it is also called as an even number, But my array of thinking goes beyond this, consider the following:
01 = 0+1 = 1
02 = 0+2 = 2
03 = 0+3 = 3
04 = 0+4 = 4
.
.
.
09= 0+9= 9
This is to explain that when ever any digit is added to 0 it will reflect the same digit.
11 = 1+1 = 2
12 = 1+2 = 3
13 = 1+3 = 4
14 = 1+4 = 5
15 = 1+5 = 6
16 = 1+6 = 7
17 = 1+7 = 8
18 = 1+8 = 9
Here we have used 1 in its place of “0”, and have resulted in corresponding next digit of the value above. If you look at the result, it has continuity of the numeric value. The flow states 1 after 2 and 2 after 3 so what should be after 9? It is quite obvious that it must be 0. What say? However, view the result below:
19= 1+9= 10 = 1+0 = 1
It is 1 and not 0 why?
21 = 2+1 = 3
22 = 2+2 = 4
23 = 2+3 = 5
24 = 2+4 = 6
25 = 2+5 = 7
26 = 2+6 = 8
27 = 2+7 = 9

Zero represents also a point of view, as in a reference point. Like standing at 0 on an x,y axis you'll be at the point of origin. You could even say that 0 represents consciousness philosophically speaking. Check out "the philosophical zero" ... it's a good read.

thank you Westy for your valuable comments.ya thats correct but im telling about continuity in series of numbers where the Zero getting eliminated from those series everytime and we are just adding it to complete those series.the streamline flow of numbers is missing there thats why i asked that is "zero" a defined number or just a value adder to other digits.
I agree with your comments Jack. Zero is a value adder to other digits. My point is that being a value adder in it's mathematical life, is similar to it's abstract role in it's philosophical life. Adding value is what we humans do best :) The modus operandi. The point of origin... The value adder :) It's great stuff!
